Not sorted St Patrick’s Day yet? Accidental Theatre might just have the kind of outrageous, provoking, musical, and hilarious night’s entertainment you’re looking for – and all in conjunction with Imagine Festival.
Accidental is a pop-up theatre housed in the converted former Northern Bank building on Shaftsbury Square, and to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day they have brought together a cavalcade of Irish & Northern Irish musical talent to provide an alternative Ulster extravaganza! A line-up of artists and groups from across the island will take to the stage to stimulate and incite, inform and amuse. A night of musical entertainment, thought-provoking debate in the Book Bar, and great Belfast craic.
All for £7/10. Seriously.
The Line-Up includes:
DANI – a vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a sound that blends bluesy coarseness with lullaby softness, inspired by the Irish traditional melodies and showbands she was raised with.
TWISTED SISTERS – an original, hilariously outrageous bunch of fun loving hallions with a unique style, Sunshine Punk Folk’n’Roll, that marries music with explicit lyrics as subtle as a kick in the teeth. Their truth is that music, love, and laughter unite!
THE INAPPROPRIATES – a Belfast band specialising in saucy, occasionally abhorrent songs. Exploring everything from the sketchy love-life of an Argentinian shepherd, to the alleged initiation practices of the Bullingdon Club, The Inappropriates dive deeper than James Cameron’s submarine.
